Penny Meaux Edwards likens taping into spiritual energy through meditation as a golden blanket that wraps around you by the hands of a loving mother. And what could be a better way to describe her new CD, Universal Flow, than as a warm, comforting exploration into tranquility that surrounds the listener from Edwards’ loving voice.
The CD is divided into three phases, with the short beginning preparing the listener and Edwards explaining her view of meditation.
“It is where I nurture my trueness as though led by an omnipotent eye,” she says, where truths are revealed in her “own space of tranquility where time does not get in the way.”
The following two phases guides the listener into a meditative state, first in a healing energy, and the last phase as “flowing with the universe.” All three phases of the CD are enhanced by the magnificent music of internationally acclaimed recording artist Steven Halpern and the gentle, soft voice of Edwards that mimics the whispers of angels.
Edwards began studying yoga 36 years ago when she attended the University of the Americas in Mexico and met a master yogi. Through her world travels since then, Edwards has both studied and participated in holistic wellness at sites such as California’s Calabasas Ashram, Germany’s Baden-Baden and Machu Picchu, among many others. She now teaches from her native home of South Louisiana.
While she lived in Colorado, she became friends with actor and environmentalist Dennis Weaver and his wife offers one of the many quotes on the back of the CD.
“It feels so good to have one of my dreams come true,” Gerry Weaver writes. “I’ve always had this dream that Penny would make a meditation CD.”
But you don’t have to travel to any of those exotic places to experience Edwards’ personal spiritual guidance. All you need is a comfortable place and this CD and the path to inner peace is before you.
“When you are at true peace or bliss with the universe,” Edwards says, “then and only then can you resonate with all things.”
As a side note, pennimo is Edwards’ professional name, derived from her maiden name of Penny Meaux (pronounced Mo).
